Soldier's Diary: Day 4 – Formalities
Personal Diary this is Private Maverick reporting for duty, Sir.
Oh sorry, I mean:
Dear Diary
Today we had our first formation day. All of sudden, they wanted me to do something. I was so upset that daddy had to motivate me with thirty push-ups. Daddy can be very convincing.
Since we got our equipment yesterday, the first thing we did today was checking the dress code. Mother wanted us on one line, front to the barracks. As she passed by, she jerked to a stop and watched concentrated on my small beard which thrived during the passed three days to beautiful boondocks. As she stretched her neck enormo
Soldier's Diary: Day 3 – Getting the equipment
Dear Diary
Since I've forgotten totally to introduce me to you, I'll make up for that now. My name is Private P. Maverick, 2nd Platoon 1st Infantry Company. Sounds pretty strange but as everybody in the Army is going with the fad using these expressions, I'll have to go along with it, too.
Today we got our equipment. Because angry mother is responsible for it, its gonna be a hell of a day. So much the worse that mother hasn't got much of a talent in organisation things. I guess that's why I was waiting today for about six hours until I finally got my material.
First thing I recognized is tha
To fly
Once again a day doing nothing
Without pleasure in life, like the night
Traffic lights in my life are red
Stopped long ago, green is dead
I'm cold, have no more hope
My existence is senseless; I'm feeling exhausted and empty
Without love in life, without pleasure in the game
Every favor esteemed, but it costs so much
Then I dream of wings, to fly, free like a white horse
Far away from here, with the winds to the sky
Forgotten what's left behind, every pain, every sorrow
Like a butterfly light and still feeling safe
Together with angels to dance in the sun
Having pleasure in life, in the whole
To fly to the stars and back
Fliegen
Vergessen was hinter mir, alle Schmerzen, alle Sorgen
Wie ein Schmetterling leicht und doch geborgen
Zusammen mit Engeln in der Sonne tanzen
Freude am Leben haben, am Ganzen
Soldier's Diary: Day 2 – My new family
Dear Diary
Today I met a lot of nice people with strange attributes. Because I'm going to live with this people very close together for the following months, I call them my new family.
Let's start with my sisters. I now have really a lot of them and they all seem to be very equal to me: bored-looking faces, about twenty years old and very frustrated in regard to our present situation. I should add the simple fact, that my sisters are all male.
I don't know why but our Daddy calls us always "Ladies". I guess he just needs glasses because even a not very well educated diary like you would notice that
Soldier's Diary: Day 1 - First day in the Swiss Army
Dear Diary,
Today I joined up the Swiss Army. I don't know if diaries have any idea what an army is and since you won't answer me a single question, I'll proceed on the assumption that you aren't a very intelligent diary and I gonna have explain a lot to you.
So, the Swiss Army is the association of the armed forces of a tiny little country in the heart of the European continent, called Switzerland. As this country hasn't been in a war since 1315 A.D. and as it is actually completely surrounded by the very aggressive European Union it is very necessary that the Swiss People have a comp
Geschwindigkeit stetig, Tempo konstant

For sad times
If rain falls in huge masses
And bad times the good ones displace
If a storm blusters inexorably in your life
But the destiny awards just the others
If the way is tough and the feet hurt
And stabs in life your heart wound
If dark fog covers the sun
And nobody gives you warmth in Winter
Than keep your head up, remember this
Better times will always come, just never ask when
Roofs are everywhere; they'll protect you against water
Winds are harmless, let them support you
Use dark to sleep, Days will follow Nights
Because a single thought can give you heat
Look back, memories will give you force
You've done worse thi

Thinking about: My life
Since I started to study last week, I haven't got that much time left for writing but altough I managed to write another Day of my Diary.
Thanks a lot for the comments and :+fav:
10-14-05 Befor Weekend
Since my studies are going to begin next week, I had a lot of time this week to submit new stuff.
Today I released the latest Diary of my Soldier. It goes with the title "Getting the equipment"
- Soldier's Diary - Day 3
I wrote a new Poem which I translated also to English. I'm sorry for not rhyming again, but that would take just too much time.
- Fliegen
- To fly
I took a few pictures this week, too. The first two were taken on Monday and show the changes which can occur during a day.
- Monday Morning
- Monday Evening
I like the last photo very much. Altough I manipulated it a bit, I think it's great. Look he

As you may have noticed, I submitted a lot of new stuff recently.
First of all, I released Day 2 of my Soldier's Diary with the title "My new family". Hope you like it.
- Soldier's Diary - Day 2
I also uploaded some of my lyrics. Since I'm a (Swiss-) German native speaker, they are in German.
- Für traurige Zeiten
- Der Zug
I tried to translate one to English. I'm sorry for not rhyming the English version, but it's just too hard to translate and rhyme the same poem.
- English version of "Für traurige Zeiten": For sad times
